shops i like: niche, london

When I travel I get lots of inspiration from the shops I visit. I thought I'd share a few here. First up is Niche, an antiques shop in off-the-beaten-path London -- NW10 to be exact. Shops like Niche are hard to find in London.  There are the pricey markets like Alfie's, the overexposed Portobello and many many very posh antique shops. They all offer tons of eye candy, but I like Niche because it's just a great little neighbourhood shop with attractive affordable bits and bobs. So much of this type of trade is now done outside of London and via eBay. Web may be a great solution to soaring urban rents for the average shopkeeper, but it leaves the visitor like me with not many doors to open. So, thank you Niche for making the trek to NW10 worth it. The other great thing about Niche? The name -- fantastic! These are a few pics we took on the trip, plus one from the Niche web site, which you can visit here
